The Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society (JBCS) is composed of distinguished scientists dedicated to maintaining the journal's excellence, relevance, and impact within the global chemical sciences community. Acting as both guardians of quality and promoters of innovation, board members contribute their expertise to ensure that the JBCS continues to represent the best of scientific publishing. The key role of the Editorial Advisory Board is to advise the Editor-in-Chief, either upon request or voluntarily, particularly on ethical matters.

Key Responsibilities of the Editorial Board:

The Editorial Advisory Board holds key responsibilities in maintaining the journal's standards, guiding its scientific direction, and ensuring the integrity of the publication process.

1) Defining Standards and Editorial Policy

The board sets and upholds the editorial policies of the JBCS, ensuring that the journal consistently reflects the highest standards of scientific rigor, originality, and integrity.

2) Curating and Shaping Content

Members of the Editorial Advisory Board actively contribute to the scientific direction of the journal by identifying emerging areas of research, encouraging submissions from leading authors, and ensuring that published work covers both established and innovative topics in chemistry.

3) Safeguarding Quality and Relevance

By overseeing the peer-review process, the board guarantees that every article published in the JBCS meets strict criteria of quality, accuracy, and relevance, while also encouraging diversity of perspectives within the chemical sciences.
