It was evaluated for its potential in scavenging diphenyl-picryl hydrazyl radical (DPPH•), inhibition of nitric oxide (NO) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS), cytotoxic activity against human acute promyelocytic leukemia (HL-60) and human colorectal adenocarcinoma (LOVO) cell lines.

This compound elicited aggregation behavior in adults and was released mainly during the scotophase. Observed amounts ranged up to 500 ng per insect per day.
