The early detection of infection by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is crucial for preventing the spread of the virus. We show that RT-LAMP (reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification) is a reliable and simple technique that can detect SARS-CoV-2 in self-collected saliva samples, including in participants who had not had symptoms by the time of collection. Details are presented in the Article Detection of SARS-CoV-2 in Saliva by RT-LAMP During a Screening of Workers in Brazil, Including Pre-Symptomatic Carriers by Carlos A. dos Santos, Kézia G. de Oliveira, Geovana M. Mendes, Lívia C. Silva, Marcio N. de Souza Jr., Paulo Felipe N. Estrela, Rafael A. Guimarães, Elisângela P. Silveira- Lacerda and Gabriela R. M. Duarte on page 2071.
