Insecticidal activity of novel derivatives of thymol and eugenol, major constituents of several essential oils, against different developmental stages of Plutella xylostella, an important agricultural pest of crucifers. Details are presented in the Article Novel Insecticides from Alkylated and Acylated Derivatives of Thymol and Eugenol for the Control of Plutella xylostella (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) by Claudio A. G. da Camara, Bogdan Doboszewski, João P. R. de Melo, Alexander Y. Nazarenko, Rodrigo B. dos Santos and Marcilio M. Moraes on page 196.

The contamination of maize with antibiotic residues from soil, especially ciprofloxacin and enrofloxacin, may result in reduced production and damage to the crop. In this work, a reliable reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD) to monitor these residues in maize was validated.
