Solution-processed metal oxides based on low-cost materials and synthesized by facile routes were used applied as charge transport materials in blue light-emitting diodes containing the polymer poly(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluorene-2,7-diyl) as emissive layer. The morphological properties of the oxides were tuned and used to boost the diode performance, leading to an enhancement of almost one order of magnitude in the luminance. Details are presented in the Article Metal Oxide Films as Charge Transport Layers for Solution-Processed Polymer Light-Emitting Diodes by Andreia de Morais and Jilian N. de Freitas on page 377.

Palmitic acid (in green) working as template for the docked structures 1 and 12 at Aedes aegypti Sterol Carrier Protein-2. The larvicidal activities for these structures are 453.0 and 7.5 mmol L-1, respectively. These results point out the role of the hydrophobicity for the larvicidal activity of these 3-(3-aryl-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)propionic acids (AOPAs).
