Mangroves, found in tropical and subtropical regions, are highly productive ecosystems. Many fungi species thrive in these environments, making them key research subjects. This extreme environment fosters fungi with significant biotechnological potential, making mangroves valuable for bioprospecting secondary metabolites. Fungi in these habitats are crucial for ecosystem maintenance and are a rich source of antimicrobial compounds. The review covers antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral chemicals produced by mangrove fungi from 1990 to 2022. Details are presented in the Review Antimicrobial Potential of Soil/Sediment Mangrove Associated Fungi: A Review by Antonio Fernando V. C. Braga, Marcelino S. do Rosário, Jakson Breno N. Gomes, Cristina A. Monteiro, Flavia A. C. Farias, Edson Rodrigues Filho and Antônio José Cantanhede Filho on e-20240032.
